Kari discovered her professional self under her father’s guidance with his small business in the suburbs of LA. But as a service-driven young woman, while earning her B.S. in Psychology from the University of La Verne, she began to feel a draw toward a career with more of a social impact.
During her college career, Kari volunteered with foster youth in the San Gabriel mountains and embraced the beauty of working with adolescents. This led her to pursue a single-subject teaching credential in English Language Arts with an emphasis in behavior modification.
As an educator, Kari thrives on creating a positive, safe environment for all learners to develop their abilities in reading, writing and speaking as well as their social emotional competency.
In 2016, she followed her heart to San Diego to spend more of her free time sharing adventures with her nephew and her gregarious sidekick, Granite. During this discovery phase of her life, she became drawn to the feminine energy of WEEN. Currently, Kari puts her experience nurturing adolescents to use by assisting entrepreneurs with nurturing their businesses.
Most evenings you can find her traipsing along the sand with her nephew and her dog before finding solace in her practice of kung fu.
